2008 EXTRAORDINARY VOICES AWARDS LUNCHEON
Dear Family and Friends:
On behalf of all of us at Mothers’ Voices, thank you for helping to make our Extraordinary Voices Awards Luncheon a huge success. We are proud to have raised almost $50,000 after expenses! Whether you attended the luncheon, volunteered, purchased a raffle ticket, or made a donation, your contribution will help us continue our family centered sexual health programs.
The luncheon was a wonderful event with an entertaining presentation by author and sex therapist, Ian Kerner, Ph.D. It was also our opportunity to publicly thank Roland Garcia, CEO of Original Impressions and Stearns, Weaver, Miller, Weissler, Sitterson & Alhadeff, P.A., for their efforts to better the lives of children and families in our community. In addition, Doug Bartel from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, presented a $15,000 check for their support of our Mom’s Breakfast program. It was nice to share such a warm and uplifting day with our Mothers’ Voices family.
Today’s children are growing up in a world where they are constantly bombarded with mixed messages about sex. As adults, it is our responsibility to help them interpret these messages and insure their healthy development. With your continued support, Mothers’ Voices can be a resource for parents, providing programs that strengthen family communication about sexual health and HIV/AIDS/STD prevention.
